Civil laws – rules that help govern our daily lives
Breach of peace – any disorder or disruption to the peace in public or in private that results in violence, threat of violence, or provokes violence from another
Indictable offences – offences that can be tried in the Crown Court
Contact and cover – a system of working as a pair with another security operative
Exit strategy – a pre-planned reason or excuse given to someone to get you away from a dangerous situation
Switching – a method of swapping positions with a colleague during difficult situations
